WELCOME TO THE STATION INN...
Summer has arrived in Nashville in a big way. Here at the Station Inn, we have stellar pickers, good music and great folks from all parts of the world. They let down, leave their cares at the door, have a coffee, a beer, maybe a pizza, and they meet new friends. And we can do this night after night because we have the right to come together where we want, from wherever we want, when we want, with whomever we want, listen to whatever we want… You get the idea.

We’re reminded daily just how great this country really is. When folks come in from other parts of world, you can see it in their eyes, in their faces. Sometimes, they’ll just tell you so. Like they have to tell us something we already know. Maybe they do.

Sure, our hearts, our hands and our help go out to folks we know and don't know, dealing with big troubles like the Midwest flooding, Wildfires and Katrina. It's kind of like when someone's barn burns down even today. We just go help them put another one back up and get going again. But in this digital age of instant news, they can zoom in on someone's face in a car chase on an LA freeway... as it's happening! And that's fine and good, but unless it effects me, someone I know or our nation as a whole, it ain't news. It's gossip or something.

In this great nation, on this 4th of July and beyond, don’t let this constant flow of instant negative crap blind you to the incredible good that's going on right next door, in your town, all over your state, across our country and even the world.
