One of the South's Best Bars
One of Thirty Selected Across the South
One of Only Three With Live Music
Southern Living Magazine has named Station Inn as one of the South's Best Bars in their Febrary 2013 issue (on shelves and online now).
In what they called "highly opinionated," Southern Living Magazine writes... "From iconic dives to underground dens, we've been keeping tabs on the South's top-shelf bars." Only 30 bars were chosen across the South and the Station Inn was one of only three chosen in the "Live Music'" category.
"We've received awards and acknowledgment over the years," states JT Gray, owner of the Station Inn, "and they're all very special to us. But, this is very cool in that it's not specifically from a Bluegrass or Roots Music interest. It's from a southern living perspective, it's the whole south, and all kinds of establishments. We like to think we are a slice of southern living. Apparently, Southern Living Magazine does, too. We're humbled to be part of it," JT continues.
As part of the South's Best Bars feature and promotion, Southern Living Magazine put together a special South-Wide Happy Hour celebration for the bars listed in their respective locations.
The Station Inn partnered with Yazoo Brewery for the promotion and doors were open for a rare happy hour with specials that included Yazoo Pale Ale draft pitchers and cups.
